Suggestions for Weddings:
-
Hornpipes or marches are nice for entrances.
-
The pieces in the ‘Art Music’ and ‘Baroque’ section are quite long, so are therefore suited to Offertory/ Communion/Signing of the Register.
-
Slow airs are usually effective at the Offertory or as the last piece at the Communion – otherwise they tend to get lost in background noise.
-
I find dance music – e.g. a few stately jigs or upbeat reels – are great to finish with. Everyone dances out of the church!
